Directory submissions Tips

Tips to get approvals via directory submissions

Hi Friends,

In this article, you will find some useful tips to get more approvals via directory submissions you do. Most of my friends doing directory submissions do not know what they are doing, how much it will help them getting more approvals, and how will it affect the website. As everyone is aware of getting one way links through directory submissions but do you know how can you improve number of one way links you get via directory submissions. Following are some useful tips that can help you while doing directory submissions for your website:

1. Category Selection : Very first step to directory submission is to pick your targeted keyword and search in Dmoz.org. It will help you in selecting right category for your website. Dmoz.org will show you related categories to your website but only go with deepest one that is closely related to your website theme. Follow it with all the directories to which you submit your website. As much as your category selection is right, your chances of links approval are more.

2. Meta Tags Writing : Title should have one keyword to which you are targeting and Description of your website should have less keywords means only priority based keywords. Description should be grammatical correct, meaningful and should describe your website not business. The length of Title and Description should be according to Google. Keep your Title up to 70 characters and description up to 200 characters only.

3. Use an unique email address : Avoid using free email ids like Gmail, Yahoomail, Hotmail etc. Use unique email ids. If possible, use an email id containing your domain name. It helps webmasters of directories to rely on you that you are not a spammer.

4. Manual Directory Submission : Submit your website manually to directories. Do not use any software or automated techniques. Using automated techniques your website may ban or may consider as spam. If you are considered as spam, Not only your chances of link approvals will decrease day by day but also the ranking of your website, so avoid such things.

I hope above mentioned information will help you getting more quality one way links to your website. If you are not doing in the same way, start it from now on. I hope you will get better results. Enjoy reading my Blog and Don’t forget to send me your suggestions, queries via mail or commenting on my articles.

"Find" Your "Website In Google" How...................//?

"Find" Your "Website In Google"

Part of the "Royallinkinfo" free "seo tips" offering is "free search engine submission". "Search engine submissions" are designed to optimize the time spent on a section of your "SEO campaign", guaranteeing a "successful submission" to "the search engines". "Finding your website" in a "search engine" after the "submission process" can take between 2 - 8 weeks.
So, what does a "search engine submission" involve?
1. You need to locate the "search engine" – often this is relatively simple, to ensure you're getting "maximum exposure" "best find" both large and "small search engines" (So no, not just Google).
2. Once you have located the "search engine" you then need to "track down" where the engine keeps the "submit URL" page. Generally this is a relatively quick task, though can be time consuming.
3. You have now located the page and begin entering in your "contact details" and details of your website (another 2 – 5 minute job)
4. Click the submit button
5. Finally, receive the confirmation email, confirm your submission (yes, many engines ask you to confirm the submission details etc)
So, a five step process, sure, for one or two engines not such a big deal, BUT, there are over 300 known search engines on the internet – this figure is growing rapidly.
The Addme search engine submission programs have been designed to do all the boring work for you, finding the engines, the add URL pages and then submitting your details to the engines.
Once the submission has been completed you then wait for "inclusion".
Search Engine Inclusion
Inclusion into a search engine generally involves the search engine reading through your submission, crawling your website then including your site into the search engine index. Inclusion into a search engine can take hours, days, weeks or months.
The quickest and easiest way to check if your website is included into a search engine is simply search for the domain name; in this case I would search for addme.com. You can try by searching for a keyword you want to be found under though if your site has not been optimized correctly for that keyword you may not show up.
So, the search engine submission service's offered on www.addme.com are clearly a time saver, the free search engine submission tool submits to 20+ engines. Our professional search engine submission service submits to over 300 search engines and directories, saving you hours of search engine submission time – giving you more time to spend optimizing your website, ensuring that you can be found for the popular keywords and search phrases.
Like many Addme readers we're all trying to keep abreast of the engines and stay on top of the search results page, submitting your site to the engines and directories combined with some quality search engine optimization will boost your traffic and keep your site buzzing with clicks.

Pay-Per-Click advertisements (PPC)

Pay-Per-Click advertisements (PPC)

Advertisers specify the words that should trigger their ads and the maximum amount they are willing to pay per click. When a user searches Google's search engine on www.google.com or the relevant local/national google server (e.g. www.google.co.uk for The United Kingdom), ads (also known as creatives by Google) for relevant words are shown as "sponsored links" on the right side of the screen, and sometimes above the main search results.

The ordering of the paid-for listings depends on other advertisers' bids (PPC) and the "quality score" of all ads shown for a given search. The quality score is calculated by historical click-through rates, relevance of an advertiser's ad text and keywords, an advertiser's account history, and other relevance factors as determined by Google. The quality score is also used by Google to set the minimum bids for an advertiser's keywords[1]. The minimum bid takes into consideration the quality of the landing page as well, which includes the relevancy and originality of content, navigability, and transparency into the nature of the business [2]. Though Google has released a list of full guidelines for sites [3], the precise formula and meaning of relevance and its definition is in part secret to Google and the parameters used can change dynamically.

The auction mechanism that determines the order of the ads has been described as a Generalized second-price auction. [4][5] This is claimed to have the property that the participants do not necessarily fare best when they truthfully reveal any private information asked for by the auction mechanism (in this case, the value of the keyword to them, in the form of a "truthful" bid).

Google AdWords

AdWords

AdWords is Google's flagship advertising product and main source of revenue. Google's total advertising revenues were USD$21 billion in 2008[1]. AdWords offers pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, and site-targeted advertising for both text and banner ads. The AdWords program includes local, national, and international distribution. Google's text advertisements are short, consisting of one title line and two content text lines. Image ads can be one of several different Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) standard sizes.

Sales and Support for Google's AdWords division is based in Ann Arbor, Michigan[2], the company's third-largest US facility behind its Mountain View, California, headquarters and New York City office.[3]Engineering for AdWords is based in Mountain View, California.

Google PageRank..................Game

Google PageRank

PageRank is a link analysis algorithm that assigns a numerical weighting to each element of a hyperlinked set of documents, such as the World Wide Web (WWW), with the purpose of “measuring” its relative importance within the set. The algorithm may be applied to any collection of entities with reciprocal quotations and references. The numerical weight that it assigns to any given element E is also called the PageRank of E and denoted by PR(E).

PageRank was developed at Stanford University by Larry Page (hence the name Page-Rank) and later Sergey Brin as part of a research project about a new kind of search engine. The project started in 1995 and led to a functional prototype, named Google, in 1998. Shortly after, Page and Brin founded Google Inc., the company behind the Google search engine. While just one of many factors which determine the ranking of Google search results, PageRank continues to provide the basis for all of Google’s web search tools.

How to get pagerank for website or blog:

Pagerank 0 – new websites or blogs, websites without any links or only pr0 backlinks, banned sites.

Pagerank 1 – It is not a lot of websites with pagerank 1. Often Google gives Pagerank 2 to websites trying to skip pagerank 1. Even if your site got only one backlink with pr 3-4 and some pr0 backlinks… most likely you will get pr2. Pagerank 1you can meet more often for internal pages or for blogs. Bloggers who never promoted their blogs can get pr1 if they keep their links on their profiles in social sites like Technorati, LifeJournal, MySpace, FaceBook, some other low pr friends blogs.

Pagerank 2 – It can be for well development website which provide very specific information with low chance to get links from similar websites. Website can be online for a while and have hundereds links from other similar pr0-3 sites. If you don’t have a lot of links but some sites with pr3-4 link your resource you can get pagerank 2.

Pagerank 3 – often it stays very close between pagerank 2 and 4. It mean that your site already linked from good sites. If you don’t have a lot of backlinks, but your site linked from only one pr5 or even pr7 site, you can get pr3 with next 1-2 updates. Often serious webmasters never deal with site or blog which got Google pagerank less than 3.

Pagerank 4 – probably the first thing that shows that website is powerful enough. Pagerank 4 can be for a websites who got thousands backlinks from different resources, but for some reasons can’t get a lot of hight pagerank links. To get pagerank 4 you need large ammount of pr links from pr3-4 pages, or some links from pr5+ websites or weblogs.

Pagerank 5 – i often say that Pagerank 5 is the most hard thing to get. You need large ammount of pr5+ backlinks to reach this point. In some cases website can get pagerank 5 with only 1 pagerank 5 link and large ammount of pr3-4 backlinks. But in this case, pagerank 5 link should be from 100% trustful resource with less than 20 other backlinks. Somethimes it takes 2-4 updates to jump from Pagerank 4 to Pagerank 5 and more.

Pagerank 6 – hight point you can reach with your resource. It takes years to build backlinks, get natural backlinks, buy links. Enen some established sites / blogs with millions daily visitors can’t get this pagerank.

Pagerank 7 – last point which you can get by spending money. It is possible to have hundereds or even thousands pr0-5 backlinks and buy some pr6-8 backlinks to get pr7. I know some sites who basicly bought this pagerank and they will loose it if they stop paying for links from hight pagerank sites.

Pagerank 8 – belongs to top sites like Digg, MySpace, WinSCP and more. It mean that website has from thousand to millions backlinks. The only way to get this pagerank is… when your site or blog provide quality content.

Pagerank 9 – only if you are a geek or large company. Mostly it belongs to websites who online for a while and most people visit this sites.

Pagerank 10 – not a lot of websites got pagerank 10. Google gives it to companies and websites who benefit World Wide Web. Apple, MIT, Blogger, StatCounter, W3, Google and some other sites got pagerank 10. If you want to get Pagerank 10, you should come with newest idea which will turn around the world.

Remember this things:

Hight pagerank does not guarantee more visitors to your site or blog.

Highter pagerank you have, more spam in your inbox.

Google can ban website if find that you are trying to get highter pagerank buying links.

Even some pr7+ sites have less than 1 visitors a day.

Pagerank doesn’t play any role in search engine rankings.

If you got only 1 link from pr7+ website, it doesn’t mean that you got better positions.

In some cases link from pr3 site can be more pawefrul than link from pr7 site.

More links on the page, less value to this links.

Pagerank 7 backlink from site which absolutely not related to yours… could worth nothing.

PageRank Values

Although nobody knows the exact Google PageRank values the table below gives a fairly good representation of how many external links, of certain PageRank values, are required to achieve a certain Google PageRank.

For example, if you want to know how many incoming PR4 links that are required to achieve a PR4 for your site, you simply look down the Page rank 4 column, until you come to the PR4 row and the answer is 18.5.

So you need 18.5 PR4 links to achieve a PageRank 4 for your site? Not quite.

This is certainly the case, if all of the incoming links are from PR4 pages with less than 50 external links and the links are on-focus with your content, but the value of the PR4 link is reduced if there are more than 50 links on the page and the page topic is not on focus with your site. As a guideline, however, the table gives a good indication of what you should be aiming at.

Compare PR Values

Moving one step further, we are often asked what a PR4 link is worth, or a PR5 link is worth compared to a PR3 link, for example, so to try and make this easy to understand, we have listed the PR3 equivalents below.
PR2 = 0.2 PR3
PR3 = 1 PR3
PR4 = 5 x PR3
PR5 = 25 x PR3
PR6 = 125 x PR3
PR7 = 625 x PR3

So, as you can see above, a PR6 link is comparative in value, to 125 PR3 links, so it seems fairly obvious that your time is better spent in trying to achieve a few quality links rather than bundles of lesser quality links. We have used the example of PR3 links, there is an assumption in the industry that if a link does not appear on a page of at least PR3, it is not worth having.

Activites New Link Building

The original purpose of building links was to promote your web site at other sites and bring in visitors. These days only high quality can bring you targeted visitors.Another is to build links for search engine purposes. So, if you want to attract visitors from the search engines build as many links as possible. Aslo, If your site is not Indexed by the search engines, just build several links, and the job is done.

Link Building is not an easy activity, especially for beginners. These tips will help you build initial links and will give you further references.

Forums : There are many forums that allow links to your site in the member list, signature and/or profile. Find forums that match the topic of your business/site. Check if they allow links, sign in, embed your link, and start posting comments, questions, or answers. Do not spam, it is not polite :) and you can get banned. Focus on a few forums and post regularly.Forum links will not help you much with the search engine rankings but they do have some value. At least you will get indexed and also they can bring some visitors.

Blogs : Open an account at Blogger or WorldPress. Post regularly. If you can write something related to your original site great, if not, write a journal. Comment or ask questions at other blogs that you are interested in or are related to yours. Try to include links in the signature and also be sure that your blog’s profile is public. Do not spam! The value of blog links is not very high, especially the ones embedded in the comments. If you are a beginner they could be helpful.

Ask friends : Friends that own or edit websites will be happy to help you. Just ask them to put your link at their web pages. If you don’t have friends online, then make them! Register an account at MySpace. Make your profile rich, contact other people and make friends.

Link Exchange : Link exchange is relatively easy way to build links. Send an e-mail to related sites and ask them to include your link, most likely they will ask you to link back to them. Some sites practice this and have ready links to embed in your site before you ask them for a reciprocal link. Reciprocal links may not have much value for Search Engines but they could be useful. Exchange links only with related sites and link to 20 or 30 partners. To find link exchange partners type in the search box: “your keywords” + “add

One-Way Links : Since reciprocal links have lesser value, it’s more practical to focus on one-way links. Search Engine Rankings usually improves with one way links and it’s more effective than link exchanges as there won’t be links going out from the website and hence the credibility of website does not decrease.

Review Products and Sites : If you buy a product from Amazon.com review it there. Write something like: "I liked it very much" or something like that. Don’t forget to include your link in the review. See how others are doing that. You could review any products you bought (or not) at ePinions.comReview related sites on Alexa.com. Don’t rely only on these sites because reviews carry quality one-way links valuable for search engines. These links can also bring targeted visitors.

Customer Service Management Software: 3 Important Buying Tips

Customers are a prized possession for every company. Organizations do every bit to ensure their clients’ satisfaction at every sale and post sales level. Customer service is all about retaining the existing customers, while keeping the doors open for new ones. Hence, Customer Service Management is not only a need, but also a responsibility of a service provider. For better and enhanced customer service management, companies use Customer Service Management software that automates client-vendor communication and several related functions within the organization.

Following are the main features and benefits of a Customer Service Management Software:

  • Keeps track of various interactions between the customer and the company

  • Keeps track of sales related communication

  • Keeps track of financial aspects of customer’s transactions like invoice generation and payments received

  • Keeps track of order history and buying pattern

  • Streamlines customer service desk processes

  • Serves customers more efficiently and intelligently

Following are some important tips that would benefit your decision before you buy a Customer Service Management Software.

Analyses your requirements: A Customer Service Management Software is available either as a separate module for each feature, or as a combination of two or more features. So analyses your needs before the purchase. Your business requirements differ from others. Hence many companies design customized solutions rather than “one-size-fits-all” solutions. Same goes with Customer Service Management software. You might need a customized application and not ready-made software. If this be the case, search for a custom Customer Service Software Solutions company that designs tailor-made solutions according to your specific business needs.

Vendors Analysis: A Customer Service Management solution is a broad solution that cannot be condensed to a single term. Hence, Customer Service Management is categorized into different service offerings like Service Call Logging, Service Call Centre/Customer Care Solution, Service Reports Automation, Online Product Registration, Web Based Warranty Tracking Application, Mobile CRM (WAP Application) and Service Centre Management Solution. Your business might need all these solutions, or a chosen few. Make a list of the vendors who offer the solution you require and then decide.

Software Features: You have studied your requirements and chosen a vendor. The next logical step is to ask your vendor about the important software details like whether the software would be compatible with your existing platform and whether your existing software modules (if any) could be integrated in the new solution.

WHITE HAT HACKER

White hat hacker

White hat hackers, also known as "ethical hackers," are computer security experts, who specialize in penetration testing, and other testing methodologies, to ensure that a company's information systems are secure. Such people are employed by companies where these professionals are sometimes called "sneakers."[citation needed] Groups of these people are often called tiger teams[2] or red teams. These security experts may utilize a variety of methods to carry out their tests, including social engineering tactics, use of hacking tools, and attempts to evade security to gain entry into secured areas.

The National Security Agency offers certifications such as the CNSS 4011. Such a certification covers orderly, ethical hacking techniques and team management. Aggressor teams are called "red" teams. Defender teams are called "blue" teams.

Search engine optimization

In recent years, the terms white hat and black hat have been applied to the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) industry. Black hat SEO tactics such as spamdexing, attempt to redirect search results to particular target pages in a fashion that is against the search engines' terms of service, whereas white hat methods are generally approved by the search engines.[3] White hats tend to produce results that last a long time, whereas black hats anticipate that their sites may eventually be banned either temporarily or permanently once the search engines discover what they are doing.

In the movie industry, a white hat was someone in a western movie in which such a character would wear a white hat in contrast to the villain's black hat. Examples of such characters are Red Ryder, Tom Mix, and The Lone Ranger.

Rob Brydon riffed on this iconic use of the white hat in the TV series Director's Commentary when his character, talentless director Peter De Lane, discussed making a 'good' character in a Western wear a black hat: "Can a good guy wear a black hat? Can a bad guy wear a white hat?"

In the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, a white hat signifies an honorable degree which has been bestowed upon a member. It is also known as the 33rd degree. A 33° mason is a master mason who has exhibited knowledge, passion and sacrifice to his craft. It is awarded by the Supreme Council. Members selected for inclusion are elected at the Council's annual session. Members unanimously elected become honorary members of the Supreme Council. The cap for an Inspector General Honorary is white with a white band edged in gold, featuring the symbol for this honorary Degree, a red slanting Patriarchal Cross.

SEO LINK BUILDING RULE

LINK BUILDING

We specialise in seo link building and have developed a unique method to create the highest type of link considered by google. In the eyes of google good quality relevant links are considered to be the highest type of link you can produce for your site.

We specialise in building relevant links for any website in any niche. Relevant links are links created on websites that have similar content to yours and are displayed on pages optimized for your keywords. Not only that but we produce most of our links on websites with a pagerank of 3 but it varies from niche to niche. The links we build appear in the center of the page within the content/text which is google friendly as it is now classed as bad seo to build links on the sidebar or footer.

Seo link building only has one purpose and that is to improve your search engine ranking, but if you are going to start seo link building then why not start producing relevant links as they hold much more weight with google than regular links. The benefits that come with relevant links are priceless as they have a huge impact on search engine position, they increase targeted traffic, increase pagerank, increase your reputation with google and most importantly increase sales.

Relevant links produce two types of targeted traffic, the first type comes from the search engines as you will start ranking highly for your keyterms and the second stream of traffic comes from the sites linking to you, as they are relevant sites and have your target market the traffic that comes to your site will be highly convertible. Targeted traffic is the key to sales and the sooner you start building streams of targeted traffic the better.

Lets us build you high quality relevant links at a fair and reasonable price, we provide reports with all orders showing you the indexed links pointing to your site. The good thing about our service is we only show you links that google has indexed so you can always check on our work.

WEB ANALYTICS DEFINITION

Web analytics is the measurement, collection, analysis and reporting of internet data for purposes of understanding and optimizing web usage.

Web analytics is the process of analyzing the behavior of visitors to a Web site. The use of Web analytics is said to enable a business to attract more visitors, retain or attract new customers for goods or services, or to increase the dollar volume each customer spends.

There are two categories of web analytics; off-site and on-site web analytics.

Off-site web analytics refers to web measurement and analysis irrespective of whether you own or maintain a website. It includes the measurement of a website's potential audience (opportunity), share of voice (visibility), and buzz (comments) that is happening on the Internet as a whole.

On-site web analytics measure a visitor's journey once on your website. This includes its drivers and conversions; for example, which landing pages encourage people to make a purchase. On-site web analytics measures the performance of your website in a commercial context. This data is typically compared against key performance indicators for performance, and used to improve a web site or marketing campaign's audience response.

Historically, web analytics has referred to on-site visitor measurement. However in recent years this has blurred, mainly because vendors are producing tools that span both categories.

SEO MISTAKES

Tips To alleviate The Risk Of Seo Mistakes
A good tip is a great gift to those who are in need of “search engine success”. And if the tips are on SEO, they are bound to attract attention. So, we’ve compiled a list of eleven of the best SEO tips to be found on the Internet.

Content
Let your content drive your website. Content is the king, the absolute truth and nothing but. Well-researched, authoritative and unique content that uses the keywords strategically to convey the right meaning is a MUST! Never compromise with the quality of your site’s content.

Link Building
Another royalty you can’t do without are Links! Focus on building a network of the best quality backlinks for your website using your top keyword phrase(s). Only link with sites that can offer you something substantial to chew up on. If it’s not good, don’t bite the bait!

Page Rank Worries
Are you suffering from Page Rank obsession? DON’T! Page ranking, despite what many search engine optimization experts say, are just a small part of your SEO plan. The ranking algorithm is complicated; believe us when we tell you, a lower page Ranked site can actually surpass a higher ranked site. A higher ranking is worth more than a high page rank. We have optimized sites for the search engines with a 1 page rank that obtained over 25,000 unique visitors per month. Page rank is a good quality when obtaining links from other sites, along with Alexa ranks and link popularity research. So get a good night’s sleep and don’t worry too much about your own page rank.

Regular Site Updates
Stay fresh and update regularly. Yes, if you want to climb higher on search engine ladder, make sure your site has fresh and useful content. Regularly updating your website’s content is the best way to catch the eye of the search engine robots.

Compete For Popular Phrases, Not Single Keywords
Dig for top search phrases instead of single keywords. The search phrases used by people and incorporated in your content will make it easier for your website to show up as a relevant search result.

Get Local
Getting localized is also a very important SEO tip that few may share with you. When developing the content for your site, make sure you keep ‘localization’ in mind. This helps you win brownie points with the local users and the cherry on the top is that you get local customers.

Use Text Links, Not Images
Always use text links on your website pages if using Java script for image maps, image links, or drop down menu. Since spiders don’t follow Java script, text links are crucial from SEO point of view.

Search Friendly Design
Always keep search engine optimization in mind when designing your website. More importantly, your website designer must be an expert at Organic SEO. Try to design a simple website that doesn’t have heavy Flash. Lesser the graphics the better as search engine robots Crawl the text rather than images or Flash. Use good Meta tags.

Careful With Redirects
Use redirects carefully and wisely. Decide if you want to use www or non-www domain and use 301 redirect for the other. Ex. If you choose http://domainname.com, use http://www.domainname.com for redirect. Ensure all your URL’s are keyword rich, but keep each file name under 30 characters if you can.

Proof Read - Create Quality Content
Finally, proof read your all your content including taglines, copy etc. and make sure all the links are working before you go live with it. Always understand that the sites that succeed in the long run provide value for their website visitors. So create compelling content and create an enjoyable experience.

Research before Working on Search Engine Optimization
One more point, always perform quality keyword research before jumping in knee deep with your search engine marketing plan. I have seen many companies that would have had much larger success online if they started with in depth research and search marketing plans

Seo Company India: Top Search Enine Optimizaion
Top Search Engine Optimization - Higher ROI

Just as the location of an offline business enterprise contributes a great deal in the sales made by them, similar is the case with an online business organization. Gaining proficiency & in depth knowledge in search engine techniques is of prime importance. Search engine optimization (SEO) is a tool that proves to be beneficial for both the online businesses as well as the Internet users. It arranges various web sites in the order of priority, in accordance with the keywords entered by the user in the search engine. On the part of online businesses it helps them to reach their potential customers. On the other hand, it aids the user to reach the right web site without wasting much time & effort. However, acquiring a good location for the web site on the search engines is not an easy task. There are several search engine optimization techniques like having original & relevant content which is rich in keywords & building back links that are employed to achieve a higher SEO ranking.

Though many SEO firms in India may claim to provide you an assured higher ranking with search engines, but the truth is that a certain degree of risk is always involved in that matter. If any SEO firm makes any such sky high claims it may be possible that they are employing unethical ways of search engine optimization. Unethical search engine techniques refers to the black hat techniques that give instant higher SEO rankings within a few days, but these techniques are not acknowledged by the Search Engines. These are mainly the services like keywords spamming and making doorway pages. These black hat techniques may prove to be beneficial for the time being, but it is always better to go for white hat techniques to ensure a successful online business for the long run. SEM Expert India is an SEO firm that makes their best possible efforts to give you a higher search engine ranking & they always abide to the white hat techniques, the ones that do not violate trademark & copyright laws.

It can also be said that search engine optimization is a part of the strategies that form an important part of SEM (Search Engine Marketing) or Internet marketing. SEM basically involves giving a higher return of investment (ROI) than what has been invested in it. It seeks to create a brand name of your organization by promoting it throughout the World Wide Web. SEO enhances the visibility of the web site & helps the business organization that owns that web site to reach their potential customers.

Web promotion, SEO, Web site designing, Web development, Pay per click (PPC) management services, Online consultancy, Direct marketing services & Web content writing are the several services that are ensured by SEO Company India for a better web promotion of your online business by employing various SEM tools. Google Adwords Explained

Google Adwords is a search engine marketing service that Google offers to allow your text ad to appear when your desired keywords are entered in a search query. These Google Adword text ads are fairly brief, consisting of one title line and two content text lines.

5 Tips To Improve Ranking

seo stands for Search Engine Optimization and has been an on and off topic of dialog since the dawn of search engines. More recently, free blogging sites such as Blogger and Word Press have brought website management directly into the hands of people delivering content without any prerequisite knowledge of HTML. While these blogging sites offer easy-to-use and robust services, they often leave something to be desired in terms of SEO, once again bringing the topic to the foreground of discussion. Here are a few simple things you can do to optimize your blog to improve your ranking and increase traffic.

1. Title Tags! You're It...

One of the most effective changes you can make to get Google and other popular search engines to properly categorize your blog is to “fix” your default title tags. Both Blogger and Word Press don’t use an ideal titling scheme for blog pages, especially if you are using a third party layout. Word Press has a convenient plug-in to address this called SEO Title Tag. While Blogger doesn’t have such an elegant solution, optimizing your title is only a matter of changing a couple lines of HTML. To do this, go to Layout and click “Edit HTML.” Now find and change the line:

<data:blog.pagename/>

To this:

<data:blog.pagename/> | <data:blog.title/>

<data:blog.pagetitle/>

This magical code sets your main page’s title to be the name of your blog, while sub pages have titles in the form: “This Article’s Title | My Blog’s Name.” You can customize this however you want, but I’ve gotten pretty good results in this manner.

2. Meta-Morphisis

Search engines’ reliance on meta-tags has somewhat diminished, largely due to abuse by webmasters overstuffing them to improve their site’s ranking. However, they are still used to a certain extent, especially by non-Google search engines, so meta tags can still play a role in SEO. Tags that can and should be used are Author, Keywords, Description, and (in some cases) Robots. The first three are pretty self-explanatory and can be inserted anywhere between the head tags like so:

Note: If you want to go the extra mile, you can also set your description tags to dynamically include the article’s title, similar to the way we did for the title tags.

In Blogger, if you happen to disable the “Add your blog to our listings?” option, it automatically adds the tag . In short, this tells search engine spiders not to index or follow links on your blog and can be very bad for SEO. Make sure this option is disabled.

Note: There is no need to explicitly define a meta-tag for “INDEX, FOLLOW” as that is the default setting for all web pages. If, for whatever reason, you want the web crawler to see your site as “INDEX, NOFOLLOW,” for example, you’d have to define that meta-tag explicitly.

3. Manual Submission

Google does an extraordinary job of crawling the web and finding new websites. But if you’re impatient like me or Google just so happens to miss your site you can always submit your URL manually. You can also submit an XML sitemap, which may help your ranking as well, by using Google’s Webmaster Tools. Just use an RSS or Atom feed that is automatically generated by Blogger and Word Press. They can often (but not always ) be found at “yourblogsurl.com/rss.xml” or “yourblogsurl.com/atom.xml.”

4. Feeding Frenzy

As I mentioned before, most popular blogging sites now automatically generate an XML news feed, either via RSS or Atom or both. A great tool for publishing and customizing your feeds is with FeedBurner, which is now owned by Google and easier than ever to integrate with your site and your Google Webmaster Tools. Publishing a feed for your blog helps with search results as well as with keeping readers continually engaged with your blog.

5. Blog Well, Blog Often, Make Friends

All other SEO tricks and tips aside, the best way to increase traffic is to have a continuous stream of compelling and well written content. Stay true to this, and you will not only earn new readers, you will keep the ones you already have. You should also make friends to increase the likelihood of people linking to your site. Search engines keep track of how many times your page is linked to, so as a general rule, the more links to your blog, the better.

INDIA HISTORY

The known history of India begins with the Indus Valley Civilization, which spread and flourished in the north-western part of the Indian subcontinent, from c. 3300 to 1300 BCE. Its Mature Harappan period lasted from 2600-1900 BCE. This Bronze Age civilization collapsed at the beginning of the second millennium BCE and was followed by the Iron Age Vedic period, which extended over much of the Indo-Gangetic plains and which witnessed the rise of major kingdoms known as the Mahajanapadas. In one of these kingdoms Magadha, Mahavira and Gautama Buddha were born in the 6th century BCE, who propagated their Shramanic philosophies among the masses.

Later, successive empires and kingdoms ruled the region and enriched its culture - from the Achaemenid Persian empire[1] around 543 BCE, to Alexander the Great[2] in 326 BCE. The Indo-Greek Kingdom, founded by Demetrius of Bactria, included Gandhara and Punjab from 184 BCE; it reached its greatest extent under Menander, establishing the Greco-Buddhist period with advances in trade and culture.

The subcontinent was united under the Maurya Empire during the 4th and 3rd centuries BCE. It subsequently became fragmented, with various parts ruled by numerous Middle kingdoms for the next ten centuries. Its northern regions were united once again in the 4th century CE, and remained so for two centuries thereafter, under the Gupta Empire. This period, of Hindu religious and intellectual resurgence, is known among its admirers as the "Golden Age of India." During the same time, and for several centuries afterwards, Southern India, under the rule of the Chalukyas, Cholas, Pallavas and Pandyas, experienced its own golden age, during which Indian civilization, administration, culture, and religion (Hinduism and Buddhism) spread to much of south-east Asia.

Islam arrived on the subcontinent in Kerala. The exact date is uncertain, but it is clear that Kerala had maritime business links with the Roman Empire and the Middle East from before the birth of Jesus. Muslim rule in the subcontinent began in 712 CE when the Arab general Muhammad bin Qasim conquered Sindh and Multan in southern Punjab,[3] setting the stage for several successive invasions between the 10th and 15th centuries CE from Central Asia, leading to the formation of Muslim empires in the Indian subcontinent, including the Ghaznavid, the Ghorid, the Delhi Sultanate and the Mughal Empire. Mughal rule came to cover most of the northern parts of the subcontinent. Mughal rulers introduced middle-eastern art and architecture to India. In addition to the Mughals, several independent Hindu kingdoms, such as the Maratha Empire, the Vijayanagara Empire and various Rajput kingdoms, flourished contemporaneously, in Western and Southern India respectively. The Mughal Empire suffered a gradual decline in the early eighteenth century, which provided opportunities for the Afghans, Balochis and Sikhs to exercise control over large areas in the northwest of the subcontinent until the British East India Company[4] gained ascendancy over South Asia.

Beginning in the mid-18th century and over the next century, India was gradually annexed by the British East India Company. Dissatisfaction with Company rule led to the First War of Indian Independence, after which India was directly administered by the British Crown and witnessed a period of both rapid development of infrastructure and economic decline.

During the first half of the 20th century, a nationwide struggle for independence was launched by the Indian National Congress, and later joined by the Muslim League. The subcontinent gained independence from Great Britain in 1947, after being partitioned into the dominions of India and Pakistan.

Hinduism

Hinduism is the predominant religion[1] of the Indian subcontinent. Hinduism is often referred to as Sanātana Dharma, a Sanskrit phrase meaning "the eternal law", by its practitioners.[2] Hindu beliefs vary widely, with concepts of God and/or gods ranging from Panentheism, pantheism, monotheism, polytheism, and atheism with Vishnu and Shiva being the most popular deities. Other notable characteristics include a belief in reincarnation and karma, as well as personal duty, or dharma.

Among its roots is the historical Vedic religion of Iron Age India, and as such Hinduism is often stated to be the "oldest religious tradition" or "oldest living major tradition."[3][4][5][6] It is formed of diverse traditions and types and has no single founder.[7] Hinduism is the world's third largest religion after Christianity and Islam, with approximately a billion adherents, of whom about 905 million live in India.[8] Other countries with large Hindu populations can be found across southern Asia.

STORY OF Valentine's Day

STORY OF Valentine's Day
Peopels are varying opinions as to the origin of Valentine's Day. Some experts state that it originated from St. Valentine, a Roman who was martyred for refusing to give up Christianity. He died on February 14, 269 A.D., the same day that had been devoted to love lotteries. Legend also says that St. Valentine left a farewell note for the jailer's daughter, who had become his friend, and signed it "From Your Valentine". Other aspects of the story say that Saint Valentine served as a priest at the temple during the reign of Emperor Claudius. Claudius then had Valentine jailed for defying him. In 496 A.D. Pope Gelasius set aside February 14 to honour St. Valentine.

Gradually, February 14 became the date for exchanging love messages and St. Valentine became the patron saint of lovers. The date was marked by sending poems and simple gifts such as flowers. There was often a social gathering or a ball.

In the United States, Miss Esther Howland is given credit for sending the first valentine cards. Commercial valentines were introduced in the 1800's and now the date is very commercialised. The town of Loveland, Colorado, does a large post office business around February 14. The spirit of good continues as valentines are sent out with sentimental verses and children exchange valentine cards at school.

January 26th in India

January 26th in India

Main article: Republic Day (India)

Soldiers of the Madras Regiment during the annual Republic Day Parade in 2004

The Constitution of India came into force, and India declared itself as a "Republic" on January 26, 1950, a date thereafter celebrated annually as Republic Day in India. The Constitution had been drafted by the Constituent Assembly which was set up when India gained its independence from the British in 1947. This, in fact, was a deliberate act: the 26th of January was initially India's "Independence Day", one of Mahatma Gandhi's many symbolic acts during India's struggle for freedom against British colonial rule, and the adoption of the Constitution on this date was felt able to strengthen its initial meaning, one calling for Indians of all ages to declare their freedom from the British Raj. It is one of three national holidays in India, the other two being the nation's Independence Day on August 15 (since 1947) and the birthday of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi on October 2. And so, after the disposal of the Empire of India, King George VI was the last and only "Emperor" of modern India.

To mark this occasion, a grand parade is held in New Delhi, the Capital of India, beginning from Raisina Hill near the Rashtrapati Bhavan (Presidential Palace), along the Rajpath, past India Gate and on to the historic Red Fort in the old quarter of the city. Different infantry, cavalry and mechanized regiments of the Indian Army, the Indian Navy and the Indian Air Force march in formation, decked in all their finery and official decorations. The President of India, who is also the Commander in Chief of the Indian Armed Forces, takes the salute. The Chief Guest of the parade is a Head of State of another nation. The parade also includes many traditional dance troupes, to symbolize the cultural heritage of India. It traditionally ends with a colourful flypast by Air Force jets in a tiranga formation. Similar parades are held in the capitals of all the states of India, where the Governors of the respective states take the salute.

[edit] March 23 in Pakistan

Main article: Republic Day (Pakistan)

.

In Pakistan, Republic Day falls on the same day as - INDEPENDAENCE DAY IN INDIA' , this day marks the passing of the Lahore Resolution and also the day in 1956 when Pakistan became a republic. Events include a full military parade and the awarding of honours at the Presidency (Presidential Palace) by the President.

[edit] May 28 in Armenia and Azerbaijan

On May 28, 1918 Armenia and Azerbaijan declared independence from the Transcaucasian Democratic Federative Republic, thus forming Democratic Republic of Armenia and Azerbaijan Democratic Republic. It was the first sovereign republic in the history of both countries and the first sovereign state ever for Azerbaijan). However the holiday was not celebrated during Soviet times, and it only achieved consistency after the collapse of the USSR.

[edit] May 31st in South Africa (1961-1994)

Between 1961 and 1994, May 31 was celebrated in South Africa as Republic Day. This practice was discontinued in 1995 following the attainment of majority rule and the reorganisation of public holidays as a consequence. On the last Republic Day, in 1994, South Africa rejoined the Commonwealth of Nations.

[edit] June 2nd in Italy

The Festa della Repubblica is celebrated on the second day of June, and it commemorates the institutional referendum of 1946 when (by universal suffrage) the Italian population was called to decide what form of government (monarchy or republic) to give to the country after World War II and the fall of Fascism.

After 85 years of monarchy, with 12,717,923 votes for and 10,719,284 votes against, Italy became a Republic, and the monarchs of the House of Savoy were deposed and exiled. This is one of the most important Italian public holidays which, like July 14th in France and July 4th in the USA, celebrates the birth of the nation. A grand military parade is held in central Rome.

[edit] October 5th in Portugal

October 5 in Portugal is known as "Implantation of the Republic" (Portuguese: Implantação da República). It commemorates the proclamation of the Portuguese First Republic in 1910.

[edit] October 10th in Republic of China

October 10 in Taiwan is a national holiday commemorating the establishment of the Republic of China in 1911, the symbolic start of the Chinese revolution with the Wuchang uprising.

[edit] October 24th in Rhodesia (1970-1979)

Although the government of Ian Smith declared Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) a republic on March 2, 1970, it was officially commemorated on October 24. Following independence in 1980, the holiday was abolished.

[edit] October 25th in Kazakhstan

In the waning days of Soviet rule, individual republics of the Soviet Union sought greater autonomy. The Soviet Union agreed in early 1990 to give up its monopoly of political power. Following the lead of Lithuanian SSR, Russian SFSR and others, Kazakh SSR declared its sovereignty on October 25, 1990, and Kazakhstan subsequently became independent on December 16, 1991 as the Soviet Union collapsed. October 25, the anniversary of the adoption of the "Declaration on State Sovereignty of Kazakh SSR" by the Kazakh legislature in 1990, is now commemorated as Republic Day (Kazakh: Республика күні), a public holiday in Kazakhstan.

[edit] October 29th in Turkey

On October 29, 1923, the Turkish constitution was amended and Turkey became a republic. This formally declared the dissolution of the Ottoman Empire. [edit] November 29th in former Yugoslavia (1945-1990)

On November 29, 1943 the Anti-Fascist Council of National Liberation of Yugoslavia established the foundations of post-war Yugoslavia as a socialist republic, which was officially proclaimed on the same date in 1945. Republic Day (local name: Dan Republike or Дан Републике) marked the occasion two consecutive days, November 29 and 30, and was likely the most important holiday (the other two-day holidays were New Year and May Day).

In elementary schools first graders were inducted into the Pioneer Movement on or around Republic Day. Employees merged the holiday with weekends and extra days off to form 3-, 4- or even 5-day weekends. Urban dwellers took the occasion to visit their relatives in the country, who marked the event with pig slaughter and the ensuing feast.

In 1980s, as central and Communist Party authority eroded, dissenters targeted Republic day celebrations for criticism. In 1987 Bosnian garage rock band Zabranjeno pušenje published a song entitled Dan Republike, in which they criticized the state of the economy and protested the general indifference to the ideals behind the holiday. The band had to change some of the lyrics before being allowed to air the song.

In 1989, Slovenia and Croatia were the first former federal republics to cease observing the holiday. Other republics followed suit as Yugoslavia dissolved.

The date "29.XI.1943" figured prominently on the Yugoslav coat of arms.
